The Board of Trustees recognise their responsibility to create a safe working environment for employees, volunteers and visitors. In addition, the organisation strives to preserve our local heritage and recognises its responsibility to protect the wider environment for the benefit of those who live, work in and visit Bishopsteignton.
Employees and volunteers must also be conscious of the implications of their actions and take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others. Everyone has a responsibility to report any incidents or concerns to a member of the Board of Trustees at the earliest opportunity in order that appropriate action can be taken.
It is our policy to achieve continuous improvement through the elimination or reduction of risk from our activities and undertakings, in addition to encouraging environmentally sound principles and sourcing goods and supplies from local sources where available.
